On the road again
Here I am, on the road again peregrinating around the U.S.
2 weeks after Washington DC trip. This week I’ll be heading to Las Vegas then drive the whole way to Los Angeles and San Francisco. I’ve been to Vegas before so I won’t be that amazed but the trip is promising as it will be my first time in "The Golden State" California.
From Las Vegas Strip to Los Angeles, We’ll drive via Route 66 through the desert hot springs. Then the adventure continues as we will wind our way up the majestic California Coast from Los Angeles to San Francisco.

Cultural Shock in USA
I’ve been well prepared for the cultural shock that one’s can experience by living in the U.S.A. A year and a half already passed by and I’m still in shock but where is the Culture!!!!
Let’s just define the culture first.
Hofstede (Dutch psychologist) said: Culture is the collective programming of the mind which distinguishes the members of one human group from another.
Well, considering this definition. I think anyone can distinguish the American culture from any other. Recently, I came across an analysis titled “THE VALUES AMERICANS LIVE BY” By L. Robert Kohls.
He basically categorized the American culture into 13 values.

Washington DC
I have traveled extensively throughout the States and Washington DC is one of my favorite places.
Fun and excitement coexist with the fancy and refined in Washington, DC; a morning browsing high-brow art at the elegant Phillips Collection or the hip design district on Seventh Street, followed by an afternoon of casual fun exploring the funky shops in Adams Morgan or Eastern Market in Capitol Hill – with the evening reserved for the Kennedy Center.
