Brotherhood in Aiesec Tunisia

Well, I spent my best years with these awesome people. We've been working hard with whole
heaps of fun while doing so.
Today, I came through my old pictures with some Aiesec University members and I was wondering what's everybody is doing now!!
Life takes us sometimes to beautiful venues where only you can enter to it, leaving
behind nice stories, laughter and friendship.

Suffocating !!!
It’s a damn hot summer!!!
For the last couple of months, I‘ve been checking the weather forecast every single day and again the same information; Sunny skies today with high temperatures rising into the 100s. Unbelievable!!
I escaped from a hot and a dry summer back in my home country Tunisia and thought things would get cooler here in North America but you know what. It’s even worst!!!
Surely, it is hot in Tunisia but the atmosphere is different. Most of people live within few meters or km’s from the coast and breezes refresh the air.
Here in St Louis, all I gotta to do is spend most of the afternoon on the swimming pool better don’t leave the water. I’m suffocating every day from this heat and humidity that is rising day after day.
What could be better than a cool breeze high above the rooftops?
Thank god my A.C is working!!

Going wild this Summer!!
ROAD TRIP!!!! I’ve gone so far this year!!
Some people walked around the world for years, some other used bikes to make it quicker and some used motorbike to escape faster in case of danger. All of them had a cause and a purpose and I’m pretty sure it is worth it.
Well, it is not the case here. I’m just challenging my old MAZDA to see how far I can get before I start hearing the clinging noise of my old wheels.
Road Trip is a way of life, a way of viewing the world around you, and a way of asserting your most basic and important freedom - the freedom of choice.
Road Trip is not about staying in nice hotels, eating fancy meals, and spending lots of money (This is actually bullshit). Road Trip is about letting your soul fly free on a jet stream of steel and concrete, experiencing raw adventure on the open road, living and driving and casting all cares and responsibilities to the wind.
Where to go!!!
Some would say I’m in the middle of nowhere. It may be true. (St Louis,
Abso-fucking-lutely surrounded by corn fields). But, but you still can make it.
If you've ever heard about some interesting place, immediately open an atlas, and start plotting the fastest route and estimate the driving time, then you are on your way to truly understanding road trip nature.
On my last trip, I’ve drawn my way along 8 States; Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin , Illinois.

Homesick
La différence entre un désert et un jardin n'est pas l'eau mais 'homme.

Homesick!!!!!!!!!!
So many thoughts swirling through my head.
Flood of memories brings me back to summer 2001 where I spend my last summer in my home country Tunisia.
Early in the morning and at night when I go to bed. I feel I am in a no mans land. I am far from home, but where I know I need to be and yet this morning early, I felt hot tears, wanting to release.
I have become so used to the quiet, contemplative life and not the pace of many going in their various directions, fast living.I am Homesick and though far from family and clan where I was planted.
Many times, I felt alone, afraid and bewildered, but felt loved with my new circle of friends and my girlfriend. As I pondered my heart and it's yearning, I began to think of so many others like me who are heartsick with tears, fears and loneliness, for brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers.

Tunisians in St Louis, USA

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tunisian in St Louis, USA
We're only few Tunisians here in St Louis but who cares as long as we’re omnipresent and spread all over the city.
Most of us work on the same department in the largest global financial company in the world and our department thrives with multitude of cultures (we represent 20%of the employees)
Every weekend, we have crazy parties going on. Scrumptious Couscous and Mlokheya dishes followed by couple of Martinis, Bacardi, cocktails and …... Home cooked bread dipped on Harrisa after a shot is always welcomed. Party Hardy!!!!
Here is some pictures from our recent gatherings and parties !!
