Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Last night we had a Christmas dinner and party and it was so great.

Everybody was there; Sorin, boryana, Paulino, Simone, Zuzana, Anis, Vanessa and Jose..

I will be spending the New Year here in Miami with everybody. It is the first time I celebrate Christmas and New Year in such warm and dry weather. Temperature is even warmer than my home country Tunisia and it is just awesome.

Everybody is planning to go to Club space in Miami and then I and Zuzana would have to go to the airport to catch our flight back to Tunisia. The flight would last over 12 with a short stay at Milan airport.

Home Sweet Home!! Can’t wait to be back in Tunisia. Last time I’ve been home was October 2003 so it’s been a while.

Anyway, as much I’m happy to be back to Tunisia I’m pissed that I won’t see anybody from my close family cauz my parents and sisters live in Europe and Asia.

New York Experience

I spend 5 days in New York and I’ve seen pretty much the most interesting parts of the Empire state; From Manhattan to Brooklyn, Queens and others…

The most interesting things were Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building , Central Park, Chinatown and Civic Center, Chrysler Building, The Cloisters, Ellis Island, Fashion Flair, Greenwich Village, Little Italy, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, SoHo and TriBeCa, South Street Seaport, Times Square, United Nations Headquarters, Bronx Magnetism, Bryant Park….

It is indeed the capital of the world and an economic powerhouse with the most diverse selection of entertainment, museums and restaurants imaginable.

Life in Florida

It is been 2 weeks already since I came here to Ft Lauderdale-Miami and finally I have time to write a little about life here.

It is a lot different from the Midwest lifestyle and the weather is definately warmer.
Nightlife here is much better and multitude of cultures thrive within the city. Spanish is the main language here so it is a good opportunity for me to excell my spanish skills.

I will write a lot more details soon

Finally in Miami

I finally arrived to Miami after a long road trip.

I spent a nice time in Nashville, Atlanta and Jacksonville, Palm Beach and Daytona Beach.

I love Jacksonville, FL the most. Surprisingly, it was one of the best cities I’ve seen along the way to South Florida.

I haven’t moved to my new apartment yet as they are making some renovation but tomorrow I will be moving all my stuff there finally. Can’t wait!!

St Louis-Atlanta-Jacksonville-Orlando-Miami

This is the road I have to drive through to get to my new place in South Florida
I had made many road trips. In fact, I enjoy cruising along on the open road and this trip to my new place would be an awesome opportunity to take a short vacation from work.
I am planning to drive slowly for 4 days and enjoy my stay along the cities I’ll drive through and it is indeed necessary because my old car is fully packed with all my clothes and other stuff.
First day, 9 Hours drive from St Louis to Atlanta, Georgia and spend the night there.
Second day, Atlanta sightseeing and 5 Hours drive to Jacksonville, Florida.
Third day, Jacksonville sightseeing and 2 hours drive to Orlando, Florida.
Fourth day, Orlando sightseeing and 3 hours drive to my new place in Ft Lauderdale.

This Friday would be the St Louis Farewell Party. More than 25 Trainees from all over the world would leave St Louis soon. Best Party ever this Year!
Next week I would be moving down to Miami, Florida and it is kinda hectic right now as I am still looking for an apartment. Why everything must be that complicated!!!

California-Nevada Trip

I will always remember this extraordinary jaunt with my best friends. The fun, the laughter, and the places we’ve been to are just formidable.
Some of the moments to remember:
+ The outstanding pictures taken in Hollywood blvd with my Tunisians friends (Emir, Ahmed, Cheker and Safia).
+ Peregrinating Las Vegas strip day and night and gambling everywhere.
+ San Francisco downtown, Pier 39 and the Alcatraz experience.
+ Night party with Aiesec members and trainees in San Francisco.
+ Swimming in the Pacific Ocean at Santa Monica.
+ The extraordinary journey in Los Angeles with all its attractions.
+ The drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in 3 hours where the speedometer was always reaching its end.
+ The stress we had to go through at Las Vegas Airport to catch our flight.
This extraordinary trip is just unforgettable; inoubliable!!
Wait till I post some pictures.
